We’re looking for a hardworking, tech-savvy camera assistant to help prep and service our kit ahead of shoots and then support the crew when filming.
If you're super helpful by nature, proactive, energetic and have a love of being organised, this new part-time role could be for you. Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure the kit is prepped ahead of each shoot as per the DOPs kit lists
- Checking all kit that goes out and comes back in to make sure it’s all in working order and not been damaged
- Drive the Aspect van and deliver the kit to and from the shoots
- Shooting on location and in studios across the UK and abroad (TBC)
- Shooting on a number of cameras/formats from Sony Cameras to Red Epic.
- Deliver basic lighting where required
- On the shoot days, you will need to be prepared to work long days and over the occasional weekend
Core skills:
- Have a good understanding of the latest motion picture equipment, cameras, lens, filters monitors and lights
- Have an aptitude for technology and be adept at trouble-shooting when technology or equipment plays up on location
- Maintenance and upkeep of all equipment between shoots
- Responsible for the transfer of all data from media cards to either the shoot laptop or drives
- Ability to edit an advantage
- Basic sound recording an advantage
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Able to represent Aspect professionally to clients, contributors and production crew
- Positive, energetic and passionate outlook
- Full clean driving license
